The latest oil shock is fading much faster than the Russia–Ukraine episode, reflecting greater confidence that global energy supplies will remain intact. For India, however, lower crude prices may not immediately translate into lower inflation, stronger earnings or easier monetary policy.

With the potential end of conflict in West Asia leading to falling crude prices and a stabilising rupee, Indian markets may see a shift. Banking stocks could thrive, while capital goods and power sectors prepare to capitalise on the new economic landscape. 

The futures of Dow Jones Industrial Average, which rose to a record high in previous trade, traded 0.11% higher. Meanwhile, Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.28% and S&P 500 futures were unchanged, up 0.056%.

If Cera succeeds in holding on to its market share, while scaling faucetware, it could emerge stronger in FY27. Cera stock has gained over 11% in the past month.

Investors cheered the US-Iran peace deal and a subsequent decline in crude oil prices, easing inflation and growth concerns.
