Telecom operator Vodafone Idea has received a Rs 16.73 crore GST demand order from the Deputy Commissioner, Large Taxpayer Unit, West Bengal for alleged excess availment of Input Tax credit and short payment of tax. VIL plans to appeal against the order, which includes penalty and interest.
