The Madras High Court has issued a notice to the Income Tax department. This follows a petition alleging contradictory asset disclosures by TVK chief C Joseph Vijay. Vijay submitted different asset values in nomination papers for two constituencies. The court noted the approximately Rs 100 crore difference is a serious irregularity.
