H-1B visa violators face up to $250,000 fine under new US bill
A new US House bill proposes sharply increasing penalties for serious H-1B violations, including raising one maximum fine from $35,000 to $250,000 and extending programme bans from at least three years to at least 10 years. The H-1B Visa Fraud Crackdown Act would also increase penalties for other visa and document-fraud violations, but it has only been introduced and has not yet become law.
