Goolsbee says steady jobs market keeps inflation as Fed priority

Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said recent jobs data indicated a steady US labour market, while persistent inflation remains the bigger policy concern. He said the Fed’s options remain open and policymakers need stronger evidence that inflation is moving sustainably toward the 2% target before deciding rates.
