FPIs withdraw Rs 13,138 cr from equities in Sep so far amid global uncertainty

Foreign investors withdrew Rs 13,138 crore from Indian equities in early September. This outflow follows net buying in July and August by foreign portfolio investors. Global uncertainty, rising crude oil prices, and firming US bond yields drove this withdrawal. Foreign investors also extended selling to the debt market during this period. Future FPI flows will likely depend on the Iran-US conflict and oil prices.
