Net direct tax collections rose 12.96 per cent year-on-year to Rs 12.12 lakh crore as of September 17 in the financial year 2026-27, while advance tax collections grew 16.18 per cent to Rs 5.22 lakh crore, according to data released by the Income Tax Department.
