Akasa Air gets notice over pilot retraining lapse

India’s DGCA issued a notice to Akasa Air for neglecting to provide mandatory corrective training to a pilot involved in a hard landing incident. A March flight from Bagdogra to Bengaluru landed harder than permitted. Regulations require additional simulator training after such incidents, but the pilot only received counselling. Akasa Air’s head of training has two weeks to respond.
