Midwest IPO listing: The listing was largely in line with expectations as signalled by the grey market premium (GMP). Midwest IPO GMP today was ₹115 ahead of the listing, signalling a listing pop of 10.8%.

Cipla share price: Analysts believe that while the deal is positive, Cipla's share price is unlikely to see a fresh run-up, given the rise it has already seen in the anticipation of the deal over the past few sessions.

Bharat Dynamics, BEML, Cochin Shipyard, and Paras Defence and Space Technologies rose over 2% each, lifting the Nifty India Defence Index by more than 1%.

Gold price today: Gold prices fell on MCX, dropping 0.44% to ₹123,552 per 10 grams amid selling pressure. The decline ends a nine-week winning streak, attributed to heavy withdrawals from ETFs and anticipation of a US inflation report influencing monetary policy.
