ITC shares plunged over 3% after British American Tobacco (BAT) divested a 2.5% stake in the company for Rs 12,927 crore. The stock settled at Rs 420.10 on the BSE, with the company’s market valuation declining by Rs 17,269.48 crore. Following the transaction, BAT remains a significant shareholder with less than 23% stake in ITC.
