Housing sales across seven major Indian cities saw a 14 percent drop in 2025. This decline was attributed to rising property prices and IT sector layoffs. Despite fewer units sold, the total sales value increased by 6 percent. Average housing prices rose by 8 percent. Chennai was the only city to experience sales growth.
