The GSTAT, in its first profiteering order, found Urban Essence, a Subway franchisee, guilty of not passing on a GST rate cut benefit of Rs 5.47 lakh to customers. The tribunal directed the entity to deposit the profiteered amount with interest into the consumer welfare fund.
