The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Dalmia Bharat’s resolution plan to acquire the debt-laden Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) through the insolvency resolution process. Several other entities, including Adani Enterprises and Vedanta Group, have also sought CCI approval to submit their resolution plans. JAL, undergoing CIRP after defaulting on loans, has significant real estate and cement assets.
