BASF India posts 21% drop in quarterly profit on weak demand

BASF India’s second-quarter profit saw a significant 21% decline, falling to 1.01 billion rupees. This downturn was attributed to above-average monsoon rainfall, which negatively impacted demand for agrochemical products. Overall sales also decreased by 8% to 38.68 billion rupees during the September quarter.
