The Goa cabinet has approved amendments to the Goa Tax on Infrastructure Act, 2009, allowing infrastructure tax/service charge collection in two installments. Fifty percent will be collected upon technical clearance/development permission, and the remaining fifty percent upon issuing the completion certificate/order. This act mandates tax on infrastructure for construction, assessed during construction plan approval or license issuance.
