India’s Manufacturing PMI hits 16-month high at 59.1 in July

India’s manufacturing sector gained momentum in July, with the seasonally adjusted HSBC India Manufacturing PMI climbing to 59.1, up from 58.4 in June, marking a 16-month high. The improvement was fuelled by strong growth in new orders and output, supported by favourable demand and marketing efforts. Overall sales grew at the fastest pace in nearly five years, while production reached a 15-month high, largely driven by intermediate goods.
