A new global survey by ISACA highlights a growing disconnect between the pace of AI adoption and workforce preparedness. While 89% of digital trust professionals report a need to upskill in AI within the next two years to maintain or advance their careers, only 28% of organisations have a formal AI policy in place, and most limit training to IT-related roles. Despite AI’s widespread use across functions, organisational investment in employee training and AI risk mitigation remains insufficient, raising concerns over job displacement, cybersecurity threats, and long-term workforce capability.
