CCI clears Patanjali, 5 other entities’ proposal to acquire 98 pc stake in Magma Gen Insurance

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Patanjali Ayurved and five foundations’ proposal to acquire a 98.055% stake in Magma General Insurance via the green channel route. This acquisition allows Patanjali to diversify its portfolio beyond healthcare and FMCG, while the foundations aim to expand into a rapidly growing market segment through this investment.
