EU Commission proposes 25% counter-tariffs on some US imports, document shows

In response to U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum, the European Commission proposed 25% counter-tariffs on a range of U.S. goods, including diamonds, eggs, and poultry, with some taking effect in May and others in December. Bourbon, wine, and dairy were removed from the list to avoid threatened U.S. retaliation.
