Swiggy has received an Income Tax assessment order adding Rs 158.26 crore to its fiscal 2021-22 taxable income. The company plans to appeal, citing strong legal grounds. The assessment includes disallowed merchant cancellation charges and unoffered interest income on tax refunds. This follows a similar case with competitor Zomato.
