Sridhar Vembu, Zoho’s founder, believes the software job market’s current issues stem from systemic inefficiencies rather than AI. Overcapitalization and aggressive marketing have caused excessive hiring and bloated IT infrastructures. While AI is enhancing productivity slightly, it is exposing long-standing inefficiencies, challenging the industry’s unsustainable business model, he added.
