Air India's consolidated loss widens to Rs 22,238 cr in FY26

Air India’s financial woes deepened as it recorded a consolidated loss of over Rs 22,000 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26. While overall income dropped, total expenses surged, particularly in aircraft repairs, even as fuel costs declined. Adding to the challenge, the airline faced increased foreign exchange losses that further impaired its financial health.
