The CBIC has significantly reduced documentation for the Eligible Manufacturer Importer scheme. This simplified process for enrollment begins on September 15. The scheme allows eligible importers to defer customs duty payments monthly. This measure aims to improve cash flow and boost domestic manufacturing. The facility will be available from April 2026 until March 2028.
