The government is considering raising the FDI approval threshold for proposals requiring CCEA clearance to Rs 15,000 crore from Rs 5,000 crore, in a move aimed at improving ease of doing business. It is also weighing easier downstream investment norms to boost foreign inflows, job creation and investment, sources said.
