India-Israel bilateral investment pact comes into effect

This pact offers protection for mutual investments and is expected to boost cross-border activity. Notably, India has shortened the local remedies period for Israeli investors to three years, a faster route to international arbitration. This agreement also includes portfolio investments, a first with an OECD member, potentially broadening India’s investment landscape.
