Tata Steel aims to spend Rs 20,000 cr in FY27 on expansion, adoption of technologies
Tata Steel is set to invest approximately Rs 20,000 crore in capital expenditure for the current financial year, with a significant 60% earmarked for its Indian operations. This marks a substantial increase from the previous year’s spending. The allocation prioritizes expanding capacities in tinplate and wires, along with infrastructure and sustainability projects, aiming to boost India’s steelmaking capacity to 40 MTPA from the current 27.35 MTPA.
