The Reserve Bank of India’s workforce declined 2.2 per cent year-on-year to 13,220 employees in 2025, the central bank has still expanded its role across artificial intelligence, CBDC pilots, cybersecurity supervision and digital financial infrastructure, according to the RBI Annual Report 2025-26.
