CEAT Limited has received a favourable order from the Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise, Mumbai Central, quashing a ₹276.7 crore differential excise duty demand. The proceedings, initiated by DGCEI, alleged that assembling tyre sets constituted “manufacture” or a pre-packaged commodity.
