The CBIC has issued new guidelines for handling export cargo from SEZs affected by shipping route disruptions. Exporters can now cancel ‘Let Export Order’ or ‘Shipping Bill’ at the SEZ. Customs will allow cargo return or rerouting without bringing it back to the SEZ. These measures aim to reduce delays and port congestion.
