ADB sharply revises upward India’s GDP growth to 7.2pc for FY26

The Asian Development Bank has significantly upgraded India’s FY26 growth forecast to 7.2%, driven by robust domestic consumption boosted by recent tax cuts. This upward revision also lifts Asia’s growth projection. India’s strong performance in the first half of FY26 is attributed to manufacturing and services expansion, alongside consumption and investment.
