Inflation continues to hit FMCG industry, urban growth expected to slow in H1/2025: Kantar report
The FMCG industry saw a decrease in volume growth to 4.3% in August-October 2024, down from 6.4% a year ago. Urban growth was 4.5%, while rural growth was 4%. Spending increased 13% in two years. Food inflation remains high. Personal care categories showed growth, indicating a potentially positive rural market.
