Shriram Mutual Funds are operated by Shriram asset Management Company, commenced its operations in the stock market on 5th December 1994. Shriram Credit Company Limited (SCCL) has a 68.67% controlling stake in the fund house, thereby regulating various stock market operations undertaken.

SCCL is a subsidiary company of the Shriram conglomerate, responsible for investment patterns of Shriram Mutual Funds. SCCL is an acclaimed financial services company (CIN-U65993TN1980PLC008215) having a paid-up capital of RS. 240,631,296, and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange with registration number 8215.

Origin of Shriram Mutual Fund was in the form of a trust and was duly registered under the Indian Trusts Act on 27th May 1994. SEBI registration was done on 21st November 1994, having a registration number MF/017/94/4. Currently, the AMC handles Rs. 220.34 crores worth of assets.

1. Mr Kartik Soral

He is the senior fund manager at Shriram MF. With more than ten years of experience in this field, Mr Soral is proficient in risk management and technical factor analysis, along with sound portfolio construction skills. He has a B. Tech degree in Chemical engineering from IIT-BHU, and PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad. Prior to joining Shriram Mutual Funds, he was working as a fund manager at Edelweiss Asset Management Co. Ltd. In 2013, he was working in corporate finance and global equity derivatives at Larsen & Toubro and Deutsche CIB Centre.

2. Mrs Gargi Bhattacharya Banerjee

Joining Shriram Mutual Fund in November 2012, she currently serves as an equity research manager, responsible for segregating equity securities having high potential. She is responsible for performing equity analysis through financial modelling, thereby improving the accuracy with which investments are made.

Prior to this, she was working as a principal analyst at Zacks Investment Research for the period 2009-2012, wherein she was responsible for initiating coverage reports and financial analysis for various companies.

From 2002 – 2008, she was a research analyst at Insight Share Brokers Ltd. She was responsible for tracking and writing research reports on global and Indian stock markets regularly. She was also involved in client portfolio management, providing optimal investment advice on which securities to avail.

3. Ms Chandana Dutt

Ms Dutt is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Shriram Mutual Funds. She was the manager of corporate accounts in the company prior to this, dealing with internal and statutory audits, tax assessments, and finalisation of accounts. Before joining this company, she worked as the senior finance executive at Rabindranath Tagore Institute of Cardiac Sciences.

4. Mr Tanmoy Sengupta

Mr Sengupta is the Compliance Officer at Shriram MF for the past six years. He has an M.Com degree and AICWA from ICAI, and more than 16 years of professional experience in this field. Prior to this, he was working as an Assistant Compliance Officer at Shriram Share Brokers Limited, and wherein he was responsible transactional, regulatory reporting, IT control regulatory framework, etc.

5. Ms Reena Yadav

She works as the Company secretary at Shriram Mutual Funds, with more than 15 years of experience and an ACS degree. Ms Yadav was associated with this company from 2008-2011 as Assistant company secretary. After a brief hiatus, she re-joined as Company Secretary in August 2012.
