India’s top government banks raise state bond investment limits, sources say

Following RBI discussions, four major state-owned Indian banks, including Bank of Baroda and PNB, have increased their internal limits for state bond investments. This move, raising caps by 5-20 percentage points, aims to ease borrowing costs for Indian states and improve participation in bond auctions.
